Congratulations to Kristen B. for winning two free movie tickets for her comments on our new website! We thank all of you for your suggestions, input and compliments. We are very happy with our new website and the ease of viewing it on a mobile device was a big key for us. We hope that you find the new format convenient and helpful.

Amy and I are a lot closer to being true snowbirds as we recently closed on our Florida home, and have been quite busy getting everything together and making all the arrangements. Amy is going down in a couple of weeks with some friends to work on painting and decorating the place. While she’s gone, Cassi and I are going to spend a week at our favorite lake getaway! It’s our annual last burst of fun together before school starts for her, right after Labor Day. But don’t worry, TeamBradley is rooted here in the Chicago area and although I will be traveling, my team will still be hard at work in our Chicago land office and I will be working remotely whether I’m in the office or traveling.  After all, my Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and Cubs are here!  Besides, if I leave for too long the “Team” will miss me.

Thanks to many of you for the best wishes and prayers for Amy. We got great news from Johns Hopkins last week after more tests and so long as she manages her stress and fatigue, she is hopeful her MS will remain stable.  The rest of the family is also doing well. My grandson, Lincoln, just learned how to ride a bike without training wheels, and my middle daughter, Calli, will be starting at Roosevelt University in the city next week. My oldest daughter, Sami, is enjoying the nursing life; working over at the hospital and of course as a lot of you know, Bob Nappi (my son-in-law) is doing a fantastic job for TeamBradley.

With the end of summer, we’re unfortunately losing our part-time college help. Catherine and Megan have been a tremendous help to us and Elizabeth and Allie will be very sorry to see them go and sorry to see all that work they do come back to their desks. As I write this we’re having a going away lunch celebration for them today. This has been a very strong summer for us business-wise and we’re hoping to continue that trend into the fall. As I reflect on the summer’s business, it gives me personal satisfaction that we have worked so well together as a team and have successfully placed outstanding candidates with our clients. Our focus this summer has been to strengthen our client relationships.  It has been a pleasure meeting with many of our clients and seeing so many business locations!

If you are an employer, feel free to call or email me to discuss your hiring needs.  At TeamBradley, we’re committed to adding value to your organization. Even if you’re not presently hiring, I would still love to talk with you about the market or research salary comparisons for your current staff.

If you are an applicant and considering a job change or looking for a new challenge, be sure to check out the list of all our 50+ open positions! (www.teambradley.com/category/open-positions/).

It’s a great time to be in the IT field, for candidates and companies alike. Additionally you will find some of my favorite recent articles that I pulled together for you regarding helpful tools and advice for IT professionals.

Enjoy the last days of summer!
