My client is seeking a skilled Technical Publications Manager to drive the creation and delivery of essential service, parts, and operator manuals, the backbone of product support and dealer success. This role is all about owning the process, coordinating across teams, and improving the tools that keep the documentation world turning.

Location: Houston, TX

Status: Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office (Houston area)

 Compensation range: $100,000 -$120,000 annually

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and schedule publication of technical manuals for supported products.
  • Oversee a team of 6.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for publication applications; train users and lead troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with global teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely, accurate documentation.
  • Oversee budget, vendor contracts, and translation/printing needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in technical content workflows and tools.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, Technical Writing, English or equivalent.
  • Have experience with OneSource CMS or other similar content systems.
  • Comfortable navigating PLM (like PTC Windchill/Creo) and ERP systems (like SAP or BPCS).
  • Understand localization workflows and global documentation practices.
  • Bring a cross-functional mindset with experience coordinating across engineering, IT, and vendor teams.
