Location: Rosemont, IL Area
Status: Hybrid with some travel local and weekly onsite is required. (2 days remote).
Travel: Rosemont, IL Milwaukee, WI, and Michigan City, IN

What You’ll Be Doing

  • This role supports an entire product lifecycle within a close-knit manufacturing and distribution network.
  • Crucial IT responsibilities and duties include;
    • Hardware: Research, test, implement, and support. Key to this role is to monitor and maintain servers and desktop/laptop systems taking corrective action when necessary. All servers are VMware.
    • Software: Research, evaluation, installation, data backup plans, and establishing desktop systems. Ensuring the backup of all data follows the corporate plan.
    • Support: Provide support as the pivotal communication person, with end users, vendors, team members, and corporate stakeholders. Support of Office365 and Outlook email clients.
    • Projects and Implementations: Key player working with Team Lead assessing budget plans for acquiring tools necessary for all company members to succeed technologically.
  • Cultivating a secure, efficient IT environment that backs our high standards of operation.
  • Collaborating across teams to maintain the seamless flow of information and services.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Eager to take on the challenge of melding tradition with advanced IT solutions.
  • Degree in Computer Science or MIS.
  • Proficient in managing IT in support of both corporate and manufacturing environments with at least 3 years of troubleshooting network issues.
  • Recognized for supporting the IT need and experienced with Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, Endpoint Protection, and the administration of Microsoft Office and Cloud Applications.
  • Assists with WAN/LAN support as needed.
  • Strong experience with VMware Servers. VMware certification desired (not required).
  • Manage company’s devices including but not limited to, cell phones, wireless connect cards, video conferencing, and contracts.
