You will be working on a real-time message routing platform written in C, running in Linux environments, where reliability and performance matter.

Location: Woodridge, IL area
Status: Hybrid (3 days on site and 2 days remote)
Compensation: Compensation range $65,000 – $75,000

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support development and testing of applications tied to a mission-critical message routing platform
- Work in Unix/Linux environments using command-line tools, scripting, and build pipelines
- Contribute to unit, regression, and automated testing efforts
- Participate in bug triage, prioritization, and cross-functional communication
- Help deliver scalable solutions with future platform expansion in mind
About You
- 1–2 years of experience (internships, development, or testing all count)
- Hands-on experience with C (required) and some exposure to Python
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments
- Understanding of concurrency, threading, or interprocess communication
- Familiar with version control and basic build processes (Makefiles, compilation)
- Able to explain how you’ve used unit, regression, or automated testing
- Curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy digging into how things work under the hood
