You will be working on a real-time message routing platform written in C, running in Linux environments, where reliability and performance matter.

Location: Woodridge, IL area

Status: Hybrid (3 days on site and 2 days remote)

Compensation: Compensation range $65,000 – $75,000

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support development and testing of applications tied to a mission-critical message routing platform
• Work in Unix/Linux environments using command-line tools, scripting, and build pipelines
• Contribute to unit, regression, and automated testing efforts
• Participate in bug triage, prioritization, and cross-functional communication
• Help deliver scalable solutions with future platform expansion in mind

About You

• 1–2 years of experience (internships, development, or testing all count)
• Hands-on experience with C (required) and some exposure to Python
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments
• Understanding of concurrency, threading, or interprocess communication
• Familiar with version control and basic build processes (Makefiles, compilation)
• Able to explain how you’ve used unit, regression, or automated testing
• Curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy digging into how things work under the hood
