Join my client’s backend engineering team building software that supports mission-critical software products. This team is growing, and this Java Backend Software Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of products and projects. This is really a Jr Java Developer who is ready to contribute to software technology. 1 – 2 years of experience required. A small, privately held company that believes in a work-life balance. Location: Lemont, IL area
Status: Hybrid (3 days on site and 2 days remote after onboarding/training)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build robust, high-performance backend applications
- Support software development from requirements through testing
- Troubleshoot application and performance issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with teammates and share knowledge
About You
- Be able to do the job as described
- You’ve been in there and doing Java Development but now you want the right career home to grow within.
- Strong foundation in Java and Spring (At least 1+ year work experience in Java)
- This is NOT mid-level, or senior level.
- Solid SQL and relational database skills
- Comfortable in Linux, AIX, or Unix-based environments
- Passing a Background check required
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
