Controller / Corporate Controller

The Short Scoop: My client, a long-established manufacturer backed by a global industry leader, needs a Corporate Controller to steer the finances of its Chicago-area headquarters. You’ll lead the team, own the numbers, and build the controls that keep a trusted brand running strong for generations.

Location: Mt. Prospect, IL area

Status: Full-time, Hybrid after onboarding. (3 days onsite, 2 days a week WFH)

 Compensation range: $145,000 – $160,000 plus 15% Bonus

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Directing month-end close, general ledger, A/P, A/R, and payroll
• Leading budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for leadership
• Overseeing federal, state, and local tax filings and managing corporate cash
• Coordinating annual financial and 401K audits
• Running the internal control system and proactively mitigating business risk

About You:

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Degreed in Accounting or Finance

• Be able to do the job as described.
• 7+ years of experience: cost accounting leadership in a manufacturing environment
• Strong command of SAP
• Corporate tax expertise, including sales/use tax
• CPA or Master’s degree a strong plus
