RPG AS400 Programmer Analyst

The Short Scoop: Our client, a longtime favorite of ours, is in the retail industry and on the hunt for an RPG Programmer Analyst who’s just as passionate about AS/400 as they are about creativity and quality. With team members recently retiring, they’re looking to bring in fresh talent to help support and evolve their IBM i-based systems. Competitive Salary: $110,000 – $120,000

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Handle all aspects of the application development life cycle
• Partner with management and team members to maintain and improve existing applications
• Create new applications to support data maintenance and reporting
• Maintain clear documentation of procedures and application logic
• Provide backup support for IT operations
• Uphold development standards and collaborate across departments

Your Skill Set:

• 5+ years as a programmer/analyst in an iSeries environment
• Proficiency with iSeries OS and DB2 databases
• Solid hands-on with RPG (III, IV, Free Form), CL, DDS, and embedded SQL
• Bonus points for ILE and administrative know-how
