IT Network Administrator / Network Engineer

My client is looking for a proactive and security-focused IT Network Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced setting. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring network reliability, enforcing security standards, and supporting IT teams and users in a high-impact environment.

Location: Winfield, IL area

Status: 100% Onsite first 90 days – 3 days in office, 2 days WFH

Compensation range: $75,000 – $100,000 annually

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitor and manage all network devices and cloud services to ensure high availability and security compliance
• Provide Level 2 & 3 technical support to IT teams, users, and customers
• Collaborate on IT projects that enhance infrastructure, security, and cloud environments
• Analyze and implement new security technologies to stay ahead of threats
• Ensure business continuity through proactive monitoring, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency support
• Contribute to maintenance patching cycles and after-hours IT support

About You

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud environments, Microsoft Office 365, and hybrid Active Directory management.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex network issues and maintaining clear technical documentation.
• Skilled in network security monitoring, including working with NOCs and security SOCs.
• Understanding of IP addressing, network topologies (LAN/WAN/WiFi), and remote access technologies.
