OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: Our client, a manufacturer of leading household brands, is growing and turning to TeamBradley for help. Currently, they are looking for a Hosting Architect. This person will collaborate with other teams to develop hosting infrastructure and support application needs. This position is near the Bannockburn, IL area and is currently Hybrid for local candidates or Remote. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In charge of the future of Cloud and On-Premise Data Infrastructure
  • Trusted advisor by providing relevant ideas, insights, and advice
  • Design scalable and highly available hosting solutions and develop comprehensive platform modernization and migration strategies for existing IaaS/PaaS/Container Services environments
  • Use an automated tool such as PowerShell DSC to create solutions
  • Document current systems and maintain policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Document hosting requirements and produce infrastructure plans
  • Troubleshoot application/database performance issues
  • Document, publish, and governance platform hosting standards
  • Implement process improvements, methodologies, and/or strategies
  • Design and define data recovery and backup system

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience as a VMware Architect / Administrator
  • 5+ years of experience with architecture, configuration, and deployment within the AWS platform 
  • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory, Windows Server OS, Linux OS, OAuth2, SAML, and Web SSO
  • Strong understanding of networking
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudwatch, Load Balancers, VPCs, and Transit Gateways
