Cloud Platform Architect

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: Our client is growing and they are teaming up with TeamBradley to find a Cloud Platform Architect. The right candidate will have the ability to adapt to changing technology and apply it to the needs of this company. Great communication and personal skills are a must. This position is remote. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Break down current and new business initiatives and capabilities into projects, provide architecture and designs for cloud supported platforms and solutions, and cost & operational estimates
• Construct cloud-based frameworks, models, and patterns for the design of cloud infrastructure, applications and services
• Drive continuous improvement in cloud solutions and infrastructure with new innovative approaches
• Lead development of cloud engineering best practices in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Centers-of-Excellence and Operations
• Design solutions in compliance with industry best practices. Includes knowledge of cloud automation, Infrastructure-as-Code using CloudFormation and Terraform stacks, DevSecOps tool chains and CI/CD pipelines
• Design and code reviews to ensure compliance to best practices and provide recommendations for improvement
• Support active initiatives by providing direction, coaching and updated design documentation
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to manage and resolve differences and challenges between design

SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of designing and developing secure enterprise solutions
• AWS Certification
•  5+ years in designing and implementing AWS-based solutions
•  AWS platform and tools knowledge
• Cloud best practices and tools, including: Software Engineering, DevSecOps and CI/CD, Automated Testing, Operations, Disaster Recovery
